Drobe is a Norwegian brand reinventing the wardrobe trunk for modern travel. Every Drobe trunk opens vertically like a wardrobe — so you live out of it instead of unpacking. Independent modular compartments run on a patented custom rail system, making each piece fully customisable, fully repairable, and designed to be travelled with for life.

The Cabin (55 × 40 × 23 cm) meets most European carry-on standards and is accepted by the majority of European carriers — including SAS, Lufthansa, British Airways, Norwegian, and KLM.
Please note: it does not fit the stricter limits of some US carriers such as American Airlines, Delta, and United. If you regularly fly US domestic routes on those airlines, check the current overhead-bin size limit before travelling.

Yes. The vertical rail system and modular compartment structure are patented. Drobe is also award-winning — recognised at Milan & Odessa Future On Stage, the European Product Design Award, and the New York Design Award.
Shell — high-impact ASA polymer; the colour runs through the full thickness so it never chips or fades. Finished with a gloss surface and polished chrome corner protectors.
Frame & rails — custom-developed aluminium rails with a sandblasted anodised frame. The patented rail system is what gives every Drobe trunk its vertical wardrobe function.
Interior — Alcantara® flooring with a custom jacquard lining in a tone-on-tone Drobe pattern.
Handle — Swedish full-grain leather.
Every trunk is manufactured and assembled by hand in our workshop in Oslo, Norway.
Drobe trunks use a custom TSA-approved combination lock built into the top handle — flush with the surface so it never snags. Slim inline colour indicators let you see at a glance whether the lock is set. You can set your own personal combination code.
Every Drobe is built by hand to order in our Oslo workshop — each trunk manufactured and assembled with precision for the individual who ordered it. You will receive an order confirmation immediately, followed by tracking details when your trunk is dispatched.
Yes. Choose one of the seven Original colourways as your ready configuration, or design a fully custom trunk — shell colour, mid frame, and interior — using the Custom Made configurator at drobeluggage.com. Every order, Original or custom, is built by hand in Oslo.

Because every Drobe trunk is built by hand to order in Oslo, current build time is 6–8 weeks from order confirmation. You will receive tracking details as soon as your piece is dispatched from our workshop.
Yes — we ship globally. All orders are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): import duties and taxes are fully covered, so you will never receive an unexpected customs bill upon delivery. Tracking is sent once your order is dispatched.
All Drobe trunks are covered by a five-year limited warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects and structural failures — including the frame, rails, compartments, and TSA lock. Cosmetic wear, airline-handling damage, and normal wear of wheels and Alcantara liners are not covered, but every part is individually available for replacement at workshop cost.
Yes. Every Drobe trunk is modular by design — wheels, floor liners, handle, and rail components can all be replaced individually. We will never ask you to buy a new trunk when a part can be swapped. Replacement parts are available through your Members account.
Log into your Members account at drobeluggage.com, open your trunk's ownership card, and click Request a Repair. Describe the issue and attach a photo. We will get back to you as soon as we can and, where applicable, arrange a prepaid DHL return label.
