Born in Norway. Award-winning. Patent-pending. Drobe is redefining what luggage can be. A modular wardrobe trunk engineered for the modern world.
In the 1900s, travellers had wardrobe trunks. Elegant, spacious, and designed for a lifestyle of permanence. Then came the hard-shell suitcase: lighter, portable, but ultimately just two halves on wheels.
Drobe bridges both worlds. It is the first modern wardrobe trunk, a patent-pending travel system that opens vertically, organises like a wardrobe, and travels like a cabin suitcase. Every component is custom-engineered, precision-manufactured, and designed to be repaired, replaced, or upgraded over a lifetime.
From the lock mechanism to the rail system, no standard factory parts were used. Drobe features a precision-engineered mechanism tower that controls the suitcase’s opening and locking with a single button, paired with a custom-designed TSA lock.
Its shell is uniquely designed to allow sectional replacements, enabling users to swap specific shells without replacing the entire body. This modular architecture means your Drobe improves over time instead of being replaced.
Drobe merges Scandinavian minimalism, Italian material heritage, and Norwegian engineering into a single object. Every surface, every detail, every mechanism is deliberate.
Aerospace-grade shell, sandblasted and anodised for a refined, scratch-resistant surface. Engineered to absorb impact while remaining remarkably lightweight.
Italian premium leather handles and accents that develop a rich patina over time. Alcantara® interior lining, swappable and customisable for any journey and occasion.
Crafted exclusively from pure, premium materials. ASA plastic for exceptional strength, lightweight resilience, and lasting resistance, paired with 100% pure aluminium. A suitcase designed to be circular from the very first sketch.

“Great innovation is when an idea feels inevitable the moment it’s created.”
Milla Amundsen-Lack studied interior design in Milan and completed her Masters in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, London. With a background spanning spatial design and precision engineering, she saw something the luggage industry had missed for over a century.
What if a suitcase could work like a wardrobe? Not a metaphor — an actual, vertical, modular storage system compressed into the body of a cabin-sized travel case? That question became years of development, patented mechanisms, and Drobe.
Today, Drobe is manufactured in Norway, recognised by international design awards, and covered by leading design publications worldwide. It represents a new category in the luggage industry: the modern wardrobe trunk.
